Marvel Rivals to Feature PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Suit This Month

Marvel Rivals players are in for a thrilling crossover as the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 makes its way into the game as a new skin. PlayStation shared the exciting news via a post on X/Twitter, showcasing how NetEase Games has creatively adapted this iconic video game outfit for their new hero shooter.

The Advanced Suit 2.0, known for its debut in Insomniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man and subsequent appearances in all three entries of the series, features a striking white spider symbol that sets it apart. This collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero game is a delightful surprise for fans. Players can expect to see Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has offered a variety of unlockable suits, but the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out due to its connection to the beloved PlayStation series. Additionally, Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who has lent his voice to Peter Parker across all three of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. This continuity ensures that players will feel at home when donning the new suit and swinging into action on January 30.

NetEase's inclusion of the Advanced Suit 2.0 adds to the excitement surrounding the recently launched Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. This season introduced new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, including Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch slated to join soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has committed to releasing at least one new hero every month and a half, promising even more content on the horizon.
