In an exciting revelation for fans of the Jurassic franchise, David Koepp, the screenwriter behind the iconic 1993 Jurassic Park and the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, has confirmed the inclusion of a long-awaited sequence from Michael Crichton's original novel. Speaking to Variety, Koepp shared that he revisited Crichton's novels to immerse himself back into the world of dinosaurs, especially since Jurassic World Rebirth does not have a direct source novel to adapt from.
During his preparation, Koepp decided to incorporate elements from the novels, including a specific sequence from the first Jurassic Park book that was initially intended for the 1993 film but was ultimately left out due to space constraints. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp explained. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"
While Koepp kept the details of this sequence under wraps, the news has sparked a flurry of speculation among fans. Various scenes from the novel have been highlighted as potential candidates for this mysterious addition to Jurassic World Rebirth.
