New Images and Details Revealed for The Lion King Ride at Disneyland Paris, Construction Begins Soon

Authore: HazelUpdate:May 03,2025

Exciting new images, details, and a construction start window of Fall 2025 have been unveiled for the much-anticipated Lion King ride at Disneyland Paris. As reported by Disney Parks Blog, this groundbreaking attraction will be a centerpiece of the newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. This innovative land will immerse guests in the iconic moments of the 1994 classic film through a thrilling water ride, featuring a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and an array of dining, shopping, character meet-and-greets, and more.

A newly released concept image showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a feast of grubs amidst a lush jungle environment. This scene is just one highlight of the ride, which will also thrill guests with a dramatic 52-foot drop, slightly taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure. While an exact opening date is yet to be announced, the ride is set to launch following the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026, contributing to the expansive new vision of Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's size.

Disney Adventure World promises a multitude of attractions, including the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, where Mandy Moore will reprise her role as Rapunzel. Additionally, the first-ever attraction themed after Up will offer guests a unique "spinning carousel" experience with breathtaking views of the park's scenic landscapes.

Opening on May 15, 2025, World Premiere will dazzle visitors with a new park entrance inspired by the glamour of Hollywood premieres. Adjacent to this, World Premiere Plaza, drawing inspiration from Broadway and the West End, will host theaters featuring shows like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
