"New Hunger Games Book: Preorders Discounted for Next Week's Release"

The eagerly anticipated release of 2025, Sunrise on the Reaping, the latest addition to the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, has been dominating Amazon's best sellers list, even climbing into the top five before its official release. Given the success of the previous Hunger Games books, which have all been adapted into blockbuster movies, it's no surprise that Sunrise on the Reaping is generating such buzz. Excitingly, the new novel is also set to hit the big screen in 2026.

Sunrise on the Reaping will be released on Tuesday, March 18. Currently, Amazon is offering discounts on both hardcover and Kindle editions. For those interested in exclusive editions, both Barnes & Noble and Target are providing unique versions with additional perks.

What Is Sunrise on the Reaping About?

The fifth installment in the Hunger Games series, Sunrise on the Reaping, takes place 40 years after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and 24 years before the events of the original Hunger Games. This novel unfolds during the Second Quarter Quell, which was famously won by Haymitch Abernathy, the mentor from District 12, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the films.
