Healing in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

There are several ways to heal and regain health in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Below is a list of all available methods:

By eating food or drinking alcohol By consuming a Marigold Decoction potion By sleeping

These methods may seem simple, but they require certain conditions to work effectively. I will detail each approach further below.

Eating Food and Drinking Alcohol

Eating fresh food or drinking alcohol allows you to gradually recover lost health after taking damage. Be aware that if your Nourishment level is already at 100, consuming more food will trigger the Overfed debuff, reducing your maximum stamina.

Additionally, if Henry is already full, you won't be able to eat any more food, potentially leaving you with low health unless you have an alternative way to restore HP.

Drinking alcohol can also help with healing, but it comes with the risk of becoming Drunk. However, this isn't entirely negative—certain perks can provide advantages even while intoxicated.

Using a Potion

As in the previous game, you can heal by brewing and drinking a Marigold Decoction potion. This requires gathering ingredients and crafting the potion yourself, so it's wise to keep a supply on hand.

Sleeping

Resting and sleeping is another way to restore health in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, you can't sleep just anywhere—using a stranger's bed may be considered trespassing unless you persuade them otherwise.

You may find campsites or hay beds in the open world, though these offer lower sleep quality compared to a proper bed.

I recommend renting a bed at a local inn during the night. Early in the game, while completing main quests such as attending the wedding, you can also seek lodging with the miller or blacksmith to secure a job and a bed.

Using Bandages for Bleeding

It’s important to note that severe injuries can cause bleeding in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Taking significant slash damage may inflict a Bleeding debuff, which steadily drains health and hampers your combat effectiveness.

If you are bleeding, use a Bandage from your inventory to stop the bleeding and remove the debuff.

That covers all the essential methods for healing and health restoration in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more game tips and information, be sure to check The Escapist.
