Get ready for a thrilling Halloween celebration in Pokémon GO, as Niantic unveils the details for Part 1 of the event, with Part 2 on the horizon! The festivities are packed with exciting features and spooky encounters that will immerse you in the Halloween spirit.
The Halloween event in Pokémon GO kicks off on Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and will run until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Here's what you can look forward to:
What’s In Store?
The star of the show is Morpeko, making its much-anticipated debut in Pokémon GO. This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique mechanics, especially when battling Team GO Rocket or in the GO Battle League. Morpeko's ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, depending on the Charged Attack it uses, adds a dynamic twist to your gameplay. In Full Belly Mode, Morpeko can use Aura Wheel (Electric), a powerful move with 100 power that boosts the user's Attack. Switch to Hangry Mode, and Aura Wheel transforms into a Dark-type move, maintaining its 100-power punch and Attack boost.
During the Halloween event, you'll have a higher chance of encountering Morpeko in the premium track of the GO Battle League. After the event, Morpeko will remain available starting at Rank 16, though you'll find it more frequently on the premium side.
