Genshin Impact 5.7 Adds Skirk, Dahlia

HoYoverse has officially announced Genshin Impact Version 5.7, "A Space and Time for You," launching June 18th. This major update introduces new playable characters, story developments, an innovative combat system, and a strategic mini-game crafted by Sumeru Akademiya scholars.

Skirk Makes Her Playable Debut in Version 5.7

The enigmatic Skirk, Childe's legendary mentor with profound Abyss connections, finally joins as a playable character. Her combat mechanics stand out with dual fighting styles and a unique Serpent's Subtlety ability.

Accompanying Skirk is Dahlia, a 4-star Hydro support character serving as Deacon of Favonius Church. The update's first banner features Skirk, Dahlia, and Shenhe's rerun, while the second half showcases Pyro Archon Mavuika and Emilie.

Story Developments in Version 5.7

The narrative picks up from the Bedtime Story questline, revealing escalating tensions between the Abyss Order's Natlan operations and Mavuika's forces. Dainsleif returns in a transformed state to aid the Traveler amid these conflicts.

Sumeru Akademiya introduces a simulated adventure event blending tactical choices with randomized elements. Players can recruit Companion Pieces and select between rainforest or desert expedition paths.

A permanent combat feature, Stygian Onslaught, debuts with three rotating bosses across six difficulty levels. Completion rewards include Artifacts and Dust of Enlightenment - a special item allowing substat rerolls on maxed Artifacts.

Version 5.7 also launches "Travelers' Tales: Gilded Chapter," showcasing lighthearted character stories featuring Thoma, Neuvillette, Dori, and others across Teyvat.
