The Quematrice, a giant chicken-like creature reminiscent of the Cockatrice, primarily uses fire-based attacks but fortunately doesn't turn you to stone. This mid-sized monster is vulnerable to water-based attacks and has no notable resistances, though it is immune to Sonic Bombs. Given its area-focused attacks, hunters might prefer weapons with some range for a safer engagement.

Watch out for its tail strikes and sweeps, particularly the tail slam, which is its most potent attack when you're positioned behind it. The Quematrice raises its tail high before slamming it down, but you can easily sidestep or block to avoid damage.
