The excitement continues with the second part of Pokemon TCG Pocket's latest Wonder Pick event, now in full swing. Running from today until February 21st, this event brings a fresh wave of Chimchar-themed accessories and missions for players to dive into.
If you enjoyed the first part of the event, you'll be thrilled to know that the second installment is perfect for Chimchar enthusiasts. Even if Chimchar doesn't make it into my top 100 favorite Pokemon, the new offerings are hard to ignore. You can now collect a Chimchar Pokemon coin, card sleeve, and playmat, which also showcases its evolutions, Monferno and Infernape.
Not a fan of fiery primates? The new Poke Ball avatar icon might catch your eye instead. While it may seem a bit plain to me, it's a staple in every deck, so it could be a great addition to your avatar collection. Personally, I'm sticking with my quirky knitted Electrode avatar until something more thrilling comes along.
It's Monkey Business in Pokemon TCG Pocket
The missions in this event are straightforward and achievable. To complete them, you need to perform six Wonder Picks and collect 10 Fire and Psychic-Type Pokemon. Each Wonder Pick rewards you with 100 Trade Tokens, and fulfilling the remaining missions will earn you varying amounts of Event Shop Tickets. With enough determination and Wonder Hourglasses, you can wrap these up in no time.
Don't worry if you're late to the party; all the goodies from the first part of the event are still up for grabs until February 21st. This includes the Chimchar backdrop and cover, as well as the Cave of Crystals backdrop. And, of course, don't miss out on the promo cards featuring a Chimchar and the adorable Togepi.
