Changing Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds (Hunter and Palico)
Monster Hunter Wilds boasts a detailed character creator that allows you to craft an avatar that can strikingly resemble you. If you decide to make changes later in the game, it's straightforward. Once you've unlocked the base camp, head to your tent and access the Appearance Menu by pressing L1 or R1. Select the "Change Appearance" option to revisit the character creator and modify both your Hunter and Palico's looks.
How to Change Outfits and Use Layered Armor
The Layered Armor feature, available from the start of Monster Hunter Wilds, allows for extensive outfit customization. From your tent, enter the Appearance Menu and navigate to "Equipment Appearance." Here, you can style your Hunter's outfit using the Layered Armor items you've unlocked. Remember, you can't use other armor types you've forged for transmog purposes. Similarly, the Palico Equipment Appearance option lets you customize your Palico with Layered Armor.
If Layered Armor doesn't meet your style preferences, you can change your outfit by forging and equipping new armor. Keep in mind, however, that each piece of equipment has different stats, so balancing fashion with functionality is key.
Seikret Customization
The Appearance Menu also includes Seikret Customization options. You can alter your Seikret's skin and feather color, as well as adjust its pattern, decoration type, and eye color, giving you the freedom to personalize this companion to your heart's content.
