Sony Pictures has exciting news for fans of the hit anime series Chainsaw Man, announcing that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will slice its way into US theaters on October 29, 2025. The announcement came during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, where it was revealed that the studio has secured worldwide theatrical rights (excluding Japan) for this eagerly awaited film.

While US audiences can mark their calendars for late October, fans in over 80 other countries will get to experience the movie slightly earlier on September 24, 2025. In Japan, Toho will handle the film's release, premiering it on September 19, 2025.

The movie, which was announced in December 2023, serves as a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime that debuted in 2022. It continues the gripping tale of Denji, a young protagonist who gains a new lease on life after striking a deal with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. This pact grants him the extraordinary ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws, propelling him on a thrilling journey beyond his humble beginnings as a mere Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will introduce fans to the pivotal character Reze, a significant figure from the original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and penned by Hiroshi Seko, the film brings back the entire voice cast from the anime series to reprise their roles, ensuring continuity and familiarity for fans.
