The excitement is building as Pokémon Go announces the details for the February 2025 Community Day, set to take place on February 9th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event shines a spotlight on two fascinating Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet. During the event, these Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, providing a golden opportunity for Trainers to catch them, including their elusive Shiny versions.
Who Are the New Pokémon in the Pokémon Go February Community Day?
Karrablast and Shelmet are the stars of this Community Day. Evolving Karrablast during the event, or up until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time, will grant you an Escavalier that knows the powerful Charged Attack Razor Shell. This move delivers 35 power in Trainer Battles and a whopping 55 power in Gyms and Raids. On the other hand, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe will yield an Accelgor equipped with the Charged Attack Energy Ball, boasting 90 power in both Trainer Battles and Gyms and Raids.
Engage with the Special Research to encounter Karrablast and Shelmet against special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, and earn rewards like a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. Furthermore, a Timed Research event extends a week after the main event, offering additional encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, also featuring the special backgrounds, upon logging in during Community Day.
