Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update 1

Authore: NatalieUpdate:May 01,2025

Tomorrow marks a significant update for *Monster Hunter Wilds* with the release of its first Title Update, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment.

In a recent post on their official X/Twitter account, Capcom warned players about the consequences of engaging in fraudulent activities: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom also highlighted that the repercussions of cheating extend beyond the cheater themselves. Players participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could see their quest completion times invalidated, and the "right to rewards" revoked for everyone in the party. The company advised players to be vigilant and avoid multiplayer sessions with those suspected of cheating, urging them to report any fraudulent activity they encounter.

The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, some of which are available to all participants, while others depend on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating even more crucial, as it directly affects the fairness of reward distribution and competition integrity.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, available after completing a special tutorial mission. Players should prioritize unlocking the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow. For more details, check out the *Monster Hunter Wilds* Title Update 1 patch notes.
