In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, engaging in the various side quests and tasks can significantly enhance your gameplay experience due to the rewarding outcomes. One such intriguing quest is "The Axe From the Lake." Here's a comprehensive guide on how to successfully complete it.
How to Start Axe From the Lake in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To embark on this adventure, head to the tavern in Tachov and strike up a conversation with Zdenyek the Mouth. When prompted, choose to ask him for something informative. He will then regale you with tales of a legendary axe submerged in a lake, setting you on your quest.
How to Find the Axe From the Lake
Before setting out, ensure you have a spade with you, as you'll need it to dig up a grave. Spades can be found in graveyards or cemeteries, often on the outskirts of towns, or you can purchase one from general traders within settlements.
Follow your objective marker, which will lead you to a large area. Head to the pier that faces the water and then proceed north along the road until you spot an undamaged tree. Henry will comment on it, guiding you further. Continue along the path until you reach a large rock, where Henry will make another remark.
Keep following the path until you come across a gravesite in front of a tree. Use your spade to dig it up, and you will uncover the following items:
- Gemstone
- Silver Ring
- Marigold x5
- Broken Axe
Repairing the Axe
To repair the Broken Axe, visit blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. Request his services to mend it, but be prepared to provide him with a Fastening Material and pay a significant fee of 699.5 groschen. You can purchase the Fastening Material from Radovan as well.
Once repaired, the Broken Axe will transform into the Adorned Axe. To complete the quest, return to Zdenyek the Mouth and report your success. You can then keep the Adorned Axe for use in combat, adding a valuable weapon to your arsenal.
And that's how you complete "The Axe From the Lake" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and detailed guides on other quests, such as treating the wounded in "Finger of God" or exploring romance options, be sure to check out The Escapist.
