The short answer is that you can do virtually everything you could before completing the main quest. Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers a vast open world set in Feudal Japan, brimming with side content. Completing the main quest does not restrict access to this content, allowing you to fully explore and immerse yourself in the game's rich environment.
Additionally, Ubisoft will be adding new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch, ensuring that there’s always something new to do, even after achieving 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Even after the credits roll, the story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows might not be fully concluded. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board, as well as the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn’t yet earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, then return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending and the associated achievements.
Towards the end of the game, players can also earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s play style and offer a nostalgic touch for long-time Assassin’s Creed fans.
As for endgame content, players can continue to level up well beyond the credits, reaching the game's maximum level cap.
