Applin and Dynamax Entei to debut in Pokémon Go this month

Authore: EllieUpdate:May 02,2025

Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their first appearance in Pokémon Go this month, bringing with them a blend of cuteness and power. The Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve it into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, and might even trigger Applin encounters.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll encounter wild Pokémon like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer additional opportunities to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, provides Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid version also includes extra Mossy Lure Modules and more Applin encounters.

ytBe sure to check out the Applin Headband and Apron in the shop, and don't miss the PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If you're more interested in raw power, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend from April 26th to 27th, where Dynamax Entei makes its debut. Keep your eyes peeled for a chance to encounter a Shiny Entei.

Prepare for these events with these Pokémon Go codes!

The event bonuses include an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance required to collect them, and enhanced Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot you visit. Leading up to the event, free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei’s fiery prowess.

Get ready for both events by visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store for all your necessary supplies.
