Android & iOS: Delta Force Pre-orders Commence

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now open for pre-registration on iOS and Android. This Tencent-developed title, launching late January 2025, marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market. The game boasts diverse missions and modes emphasizing tactical gameplay.

For those unfamiliar, the Delta Force franchise is a veteran of the FPS genre, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the real-life US military unit, it's known for realistic action, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry.

Tencent's Level Infinite has masterfully revived the series. The game features a large-scale Warfare mode reminiscent of Battlefield, alongside an Operations mode focused on extraction gameplay. A single-player campaign, drawing inspiration from the Battle of Mogadishu and the film Black Hawk Down, is also planned for 2025.

Addressing Cheating Concerns

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding its approach to combating cheaters. Tencent's aggressive anti-cheat measures, while intended to eliminate cheating, have drawn criticism for their perceived overreach. While the impact on the mobile version remains to be seen, these concerns might affect player interest. However, the mobile platform's inherent limitations on cheating could mitigate this issue.
