Amazon Restocks Pokémon TCG: More Surging Sparks Tins Available

Authore: JackUpdate:May 02,2025

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably also told yourself this would be the month you don’t buy more Pokémon cards. Same. And yet here we are, staring down another lineup of Elite Trainer Boxes and tins like they’re life choices we already regret but will definitely make again.

This tin is surprisingly solid. You get five booster packs from a fantastic mix of sets — Surging Sparks, Stellar Crown, Temporal Forces, and Obsidian Flames — plus one promo featuring either Kyogre, Dialga, or Xerneas. It’s essentially Pokémon’s take on a loot box, and yes, I bought two. With chase cards across the included sets like Pikachu ex, Terapagos, and Raging Bolt, the odds of pulling something exciting are pretty good. I'm not usually a fan of tins, but I'd definitely grab another one.

I wasn’t expecting much from this tin. I bought it for the sticker sheets and the promise of a Surging Sparks pack. And it delivered. You get three packs, one of which might yield a card like Pikachu ex or Latias ex, plus a tin that's perfect for storing... well, nothing in my case. But I can't complain. There’s a slight chance you’ll pull a Milotic ex or Ceruledge ex if luck is on your side, and if not, you've spent twenty bucks to roll the dice and got some useful storage in return. That's more than I can say for half the cereal I’ve bought this year.

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet: Paradox Rift: Elite Trainer Box - Roaring Moon

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet: Paradox Rift: Elite Trainer Box - Roaring Moon

I got this box for the sleeves and stayed because Roaring Moon ex is the embodiment of a Pokémon that's done playing fair. If your aim is to end games in one powerful swing while looking stylish, this is the card for you. Paradox Rift might not have as many chase cards, but the ones it does, like Iron Valiant ex and Groudon, feel like timeless pieces of art that we'll be admiring for years to come.

The Walking Wake Elite Trainer Box includes a full-art Flutter Mane and nine more Temporal Forces packs, giving you another chance at the stunning art of the Scarlet & Violet era. This version embraces the ancient theme, and I picked it up to boost my chances of pulling Walking Wake ex. Is it a strong competitor? That's up for debate. But its vibrant blues and prehistoric allure make it a visual treat, almost like a dream inspired by too much sushi. Plus, the sleeves are sleek, and I like to pretend I care about those.

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet: Temporal Forces: Elite Trainer Box: Iron Leaves

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet: Temporal Forces: Elite Trainer Box: Iron Leaves

0$55.24 at Amazon

Iron Leaves ex manages to be both playable and beautifully illustrated. It looks like it’s leaping straight out of a sci-fi anime, which is exactly the kind of energy I want from my pulls. The other heavy hitters — like Iron Crown ex and Gouging Fire ex — either pack a punch or look like they’re about to. But Raging Bolt ex truly steals the spotlight. It’s loud, dramatic, and strikes a perfect balance between being a meta staple and a thunder god cosplayer.

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Shrouded Fable Elite Trainer Box

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Shrouded Fable Elite Trainer Box

0$57.98 at Amazon

Shrouded Fable quietly introduces cards like Houndoom, with artwork so striking it commands reverence, and Persian, which looks like it's plotting something cinematic. The promos and sleeves are nice, but I was really after this box for the Illustration Rares that not only look cool but also tell a story. Fezandipiti ex, for instance, is a versatile support attacker, while Cassiopeia offers character drama in a foil rectangle. The art direction in this set is almost pretentious, and I mean that as a high praise.
