Japanese Mahjong: A Digital Adaptation

This game faithfully recreates the rules of Japanese Mahjong. Tiles are selected by using the on-screen slider; tapping the slider discards a tile. The objective is to complete four sets (melds) and a pair.

Example hand: [1, 2, 3][6, 6, 6][6, 7, 8][N, N, N][4, 4]

Note: Certain hands are invalid if a Chi, Pon, or Open Kan is declared. Pay close attention to the availability of 1 and 9 tiles when considering Chi and Pon options. At least one hand is required in Japanese Mahjong rules.

A player can create a hand worth 1000 points by declaring Reach. However, Reach cannot be declared after a Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. Closed hands generally yield higher point values.

Lost Hand Condition: A waiting hand becomes a "Lost Hand" if the player has previously discarded a winning tile. Even if a player has discarded a winning tile, they can still win by drawing the winning tile themselves. Crucially, a Lost Hand cannot be won by claiming a tile discarded by another player (Ron). Victory requires anticipating and winning from other players' discards.
