Turtle Beach met fin à son partenariat avec le Dr Disrespect

Suite à de récentes allégations concernant son interdiction de Twitch en 2020, Turtle Beach a rompu son partenariat avec Dr Disrespect. La société d'accessoires de jeu entretenait une relation de longue date avec le streamer, notamment un casque collaboratif.

Les allégations, faites par l'ancien employé de Twitch, Cody Conners, affirment que le Dr Disrespect s'est livré à une conduite inappropriée impliquant un mineur via la fonctionnalité Whispers de Twitch. Ces affirmations, bien que niées avec véhémence par le Dr Disrespect, ont incité plusieurs partenaires à réévaluer leurs relations.

Turtle Beach a confirmé à IGN la fin de son partenariat, mettant fin à un accord pluriannuel signé en 2020 pour sponsoriser sa marque ROCCAT. Le site Web de l'entreprise a déjà supprimé les produits de marque Dr Disrespect.

Ce n’est pas le seul revers récent du Dr Disrespect. Midnight Society, le studio de jeux qu'il a cofondé, a également mis fin à son association avec lui suite à l'apparition de ces allégations. La Midnight Society a déclaré qu'elle croyait initialement en son innocence, mais a finalement décidé de se séparer.

Dr Disrespect continue de nier tout acte répréhensible, affirmant que le problème a été résolu avec Twitch en 2020. Il a également annoncé une interruption du streaming, prolongeant potentiellement des vacances déjà prévues à la lumière de la situation actuelle. La durée de son absence et ses projets futurs restent flous.

The BMX, skate, and parkour zone is open to the public and free to access, with free gear check-ins and safety zones provided. It’s a bold new chapter in Red Bull’s mission to inspire and empower urban athletes worldwide.
