Turtle Beach pone fin a su asociación con el Dr. Disrespect

Tras las recientes acusaciones sobre su prohibición de Twitch en 2020, Turtle Beach ha roto su asociación con Dr Disrespect. La empresa de accesorios para juegos tenía una relación de larga data con el transmisor, incluido un auricular colaborativo.

Las acusaciones, hechas por el ex empleado de Twitch Cody Conners, afirman que Dr. Disrespect participó en una conducta inapropiada que involucra a un menor a través de la función Whispers de Twitch. Estas afirmaciones, aunque el Dr. Disrespect las niega con vehemencia, han llevado a varios socios a reevaluar sus relaciones.

Turtle Beach confirmó a IGN la terminación de su asociación, poniendo fin a un acuerdo de varios años firmado en 2020 para patrocinar su marca ROCCAT. El sitio web de la empresa ya eliminó la mercancía de la marca Dr Disrespect.

Este no es el único revés reciente del Dr. Disrespect. Midnight Society, el estudio de juegos que cofundó, también puso fin a su asociación con él tras la aparición de estas acusaciones. Midnight Society declaró que inicialmente creían en su inocencia, pero finalmente decidieron separarse.

Dr Disrespect continúa negando haber actuado mal y afirmando que el asunto se resolvió con Twitch en 2020.
