Sonic Galactic : un jeu de fans inspiré de Sonic Mania

Sonic Galactic, un titre créé par des fans de Starteam, évoque l'esprit de Sonic Mania, capturant le charme du gameplay classique de Sonic et du pixel art. Ce travail d’amour, en préparation depuis quatre ans, a fait ses débuts à la Sonic Amateur Games Expo 2020. Le jeu imagine une aventure Sonic 32 bits, semblable à une hypothétique version de Sega Saturn.

La deuxième démo du jeu (début 2025) offre une expérience de plateforme 2D nostalgique rappelant l'ère Genesis, tout en ajoutant des rebondissements uniques. Les joueurs peuvent contrôler le trio emblématique – Sonic, Tails et Knuckles – dans de nouvelles zones. Deux nouveaux personnages jouables rejoignent la liste : Fang the Sniper (de Sonic Triple Trouble) cherchant à se venger du Dr Eggman, et Tunnel the Mole, originaire de Illusion Island.

Chaque personnage possède des parcours uniques dans chaque zone, reflétant le design de Sonic Mania. Des étapes spéciales, clairement inspirées de Mania, mettent les joueurs au défi de collecter des anneaux dans un temps limité dans un environnement 3D. Alors qu'une lecture complète des niveaux de Sonic prend environ une heure, les personnages supplémentaires ont chacun un seul niveau, ce qui donne une durée de jeu totale d'environ deux heures. La démo donne un avant-goût convaincant de ce que propose cet ambitieux projet de fans. Son style pixel art, qui rappelle Sonic Mania, séduit les fans qui apprécient l'esthétique intemporelle des jeux Sonic classiques.

The Red Bull Arena has officially unveiled a new urban sports experience featuring BMX, skateboarding, and parkour! Located in the heart of New York City, the arena’s newly transformed outdoor plaza now serves as a dynamic, multi-use hub for action sports enthusiasts and fans alike.
The space includes:

BMX Half-Pipe & Features: A state-of-the-art concrete ramp system with rails, tabletops, and rails designed for jumps, grinds, and technical tricks.
Skate Plaza: A custom-built skate bowl and street course with ledges, rails, and transitions, perfect for both beginners and pros.
Parkour Training Zone: An elevated obstacle course with walls, boxes, and rails that challenge agility, strength, and creativity—ideal for parkour athletes and urban movement practitioners.

The unveiling was celebrated with a live event featuring top athletes from each discipline, including world-class BMX riders, pro skaters, and parkour performers. Red Bull also announced a series of monthly competitions, youth clinics, and community workshops to encourage participation and skill development.

The BMX, skate, and parkour zone is open to the public and free to access, with free gear check-ins and safety zones provided. It’s a bold new chapter in Red Bull’s mission to inspire and empower urban athletes worldwide.
