Capital Bikeshare (CaBi) is the nation's first large-scale bike-sharing system, serving Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. With thousands of bikes located at hundreds of stations across various cities including Washington D.C., Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons, Reston, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Bethesda, and Chevy Chase, CaBi offers 24/7 convenient access.

CaBi utilizes a network of docking stations throughout the service area. These durable bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other, perfect for one-way journeys. Whether commuting, meeting friends, or exploring, CaBi provides a flexible and efficient transportation option. All rides under 30 minutes are free after initial registration.

The CaBi app simplifies the process. Purchase rides, unlock bikes, and start riding immediately. The app also displays station locations, bike and dock availability, and walking directions.

Beyond bike sharing, the Capital Bikeshare app integrates with public transportation schedules, including WMATA Metrorail, Metrobus, various bus lines (DC Circulator, Fairfax Connector, Montgomery RideOn, Alexandria DASH, Prince George’s County TheBus, Arlington Regional Transit), VRE trains, and the Silver Line Express.
