Version 1.4 recently added two permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero has a history of incorporating temporary, unique gameplay events. The current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event, for example, showcases a tower defense mode. This upcoming platformer event, according to leaker Palito, will offer several stages reminiscent of Fall Guys.

The leak includes screenshots depicting these stages. While the event's duration is uncertain, it's speculated to be temporary, exclusive to "Grand Marcel." It remains unclear whether players will control their usual characters or Bangboo within this mode. Rewards are anticipated to include Polychromes and potentially additional free pulls, aligning with previous Version 1.5 rumors.

This platformer event echoes a similar event in HoYoverse's Honkai Impact 3rd ("Midnight Chronicle"), which featured chibi characters navigating Fall Guys-esque levels. This precedent suggests a similar approach might be used in Zenless Zone Zero, possibly featuring chibi versions of existing characters or even the popular Bangboo.

The Version 1.5 update, slated for January 22nd, will introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn as playable characters. Previous leaks also hinted at a first character skin for Nicole and a potential Agent Story for Ellen.
