HoYoverse has officially announced the release date and key details for *Zenless Zone Zero* Version 1.7, titled “Bury Your Tears with the Past.” The update is set to launch on April 23rd and promises to deliver a compelling conclusion to Season 1’s narrative arc.

Version 1.7 will finally unveil the truth behind the enigmatic Sacrifice Crisis. Players will dive deep into Vivian’s complex past as Proxies uncover long-held secrets. Hugo’s fate, previously shrouded in uncertainty, will also be revealed in this pivotal update.

Following Hugo’s dramatic fall into the Hollow, tensions between Mockingbird and TOPS are escalating. In response, the Mayor has dispatched a high-ranking Void Hunter investigator to intervene. Alongside Vivian, players will venture into dangerous territory to locate the elusive Sacrifice Core. Vivian seeks closure with figures from her past, while the Exaltists’ shadowy conspiracy begins to unravel.

New Characters in Version 1.7

Two powerful S-Rank Agents from Mockingbird will join the roster:

Vivian: An Ether Anomaly Agent wielding a parasol and rapier, Vivian excels at dealing high Corruption damage, especially when synergizing with allies' EX Special Attacks.
Hugo: An Ice Attack Agent who carries a suitcase that transforms into a scythe. His Totalize effect amplifies damage against stunned enemies based on remaining stun duration.

Additionally, Robin—Mockingbird’s nimble Bangboo partner—will make an appearance, throwing cards with unpredictable effects. Returning fan favorites Jane (Physical Anomaly Agent) and Lighter (Fire Stun Agent) will also be featured in reruns during Version 1.7’s banner rotations.

New Events & Features

The update introduces exciting new events, including Say It With Flowers, where players manage a flower shop fulfilling customer requests by crafting unique floral arrangements. Completing commissions unlocks a permanent floral mini-game in Quality Time mode along with exclusive in-game rewards.
