This update brings the undead back with a vengeance. Zombie Royale, a limited-time mode on Rebirth Island, pits human survivors against the relentless zombie horde. Eliminated players return as zombies, hunting the living until they find antivirals to reclaim their humanity.
Rebirth Island also gets a shake-up with Havoc Resurgence. This twist on the classic mode introduces Havoc Perks – think super speed and random killstreaks every three kills – adding unpredictable chaos to the battle. The longer you survive, the more potent these perks become.
Verdansk is under siege from an ancient evil. A celestial portal unleashes a barrage of boulders, creating new points of interest (POIs).
