While Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus' gameplay may not appeal to everyone, it delivers a truly authentic Warhammer 40k experience, especially in how it prioritizes Imperium factions over others. Fittingly, the latest addition is none other than the Adeptus Custodes.

Putting personal preferences aside, the Adeptus Custodes usher in a new era of battlefield dominance. As the Emperor's own elite guard, they stand above even the Space Marines in power and prestige, equipped with unparalleled weaponry and armor—and they are physically imposing to match.

Shield-Captain Trajann Valoris will lead the new Custodes faction in an upcoming Legendary event launching this month. Starting May 24, this Survival Event presents a grueling challenge that will test the resolve of every commander—including the Adeptus Custodes themselves.

A Golden Arrival

Announced as part of the Warhammer Skulls gaming showcase—which also revealed Supremacy: Warhammer 40,000—it’s no surprise Tacticus chose to introduce a major faction first. Unfortunately, this means Leagues of Votann enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer for their turn.
