Valheim Merchant Locations and Inventory Guide: Find Haldor, Hildir, and the Bog Witch

Valheim's challenging world becomes significantly easier with the help of its merchants. This guide details the locations and inventories of Haldor (Black Forest), Hildir (Meadows), and the Bog Witch (Swamp). Finding these traders can be tricky due to the game's procedural generation, but this guide provides strategies to locate them and their valuable wares.

How to Find Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, often the easiest to find, spawns within a 1500m radius of your world's center. He's located in the Black Forest biome, accessible relatively early in the game. He's frequently near The Elder's spawn point (often identifiable by glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). For a more efficient search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his exact coordinates using your world seed. Once found, build a portal for easy access. Trade with him using gold, readily obtained from dungeons and selling gems.

How to Find Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir resides in the Meadows biome but is harder to find than Haldor due to her distant spawn location from the world center (3000-5100m radius). The Valheim World Generator is again recommended. Alternatively, search Meadows within the specified radius; spawn points are roughly 1000m apart. A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're within 300-400m. Build a portal once located. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and unique quests to find lost items, leading to new dungeons and additional inventory items.

How to Find the Bog Witch (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, found in the treacherous Swamp biome (3000-8000m from the world center), is the most challenging merchant to locate. Her spawn points are 1000m apart. Consider using the Valheim World Generator for ease. Look for a Cauldron icon on the map as you approach. She offers unique crafting ingredients for food and meads. Her hut provides comfort level 3.
