HoYoverse's Tears of Themis unveils its latest update: "Ballad of the Dunes," a captivating collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This crossover event seamlessly blends the game's signature detective work with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the Gobi Desert's edge.
Ballad of the Dunes: A Journey Through Time
This event weaves a tapestry of history, romance, and mystery against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will unravel intriguing puzzles while immersing themselves in the captivating atmosphere of Dunhuang.
The highlight? Four brand-new MR cards, each featuring one of the main characters – Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius – inspired by Dunhuang's cultural elements. Expect stunning visuals showcasing flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the iconic pipa. The artistic style mirrors the ancient performers depicted in the Mogao Caves, reflecting the Silk Road's vibrant blend of art, culture, and trade during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD). HoYoverse masterfully translates this rich history into the digital realm of Tears of Themis.
Each card boasts a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." Private Messages accompanying the cards offer a deeper exploration of this thousand-year-old journey.
