DC Studios has unveiled an exciting three-minute preview of their upcoming Superman reboot in the latest trailer.
The James Gunn-helmed film, hitting theaters on July 11, 2025, showcases its star-studded lineup of superheroes and villains. The trailer gives us fresh glimpses of Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner/Green Lantern effortlessly dispatching foes, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and our clearest look yet at María Gabriela de Faría's portrayal of The Engineer.
The trailer reveals The Engineer as the perpetrator behind the destruction of Superman's robotic caretakers at the Fortress of Solitude, likely including fan-favorite Kelex. Earlier footage showed Superman lovingly holding Kelex's damaged body after combat.
Watch for Krypto the Superdog stealing scenes with an aerial attack on The Engineer, proving the superpowered canine isn't just for show when villains threaten his master.
The action-packed preview also spotlights Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor and Ultraman in motion, along with expanded roles for Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's shape-shifting Rex Mason/Metamorpho. As hinted in yesterday's teaser, the mysterious Hammer of Boravia makes his full debut - speculated to be Ultraman operating undercover.

The trailer highlights Clark Kent and Lois Lane's complex relationship, capturing Lois interviewing Superman himself. Their professional exchange quickly escalates into a heated debate about Superman's controversial military intervention abroad ("I was acting independently... to do what's right!"). This geopolitical tension triggers The Hammer of Boravia's devastating attack on Metropolis.
A particularly powerful moment shows an ordinary citizen helping Superman recover from battle damage - strikingly contrasted with other scenes of public outrage directed at the Man of Steel.
