A Silph Road subreddit post highlights the July lineup, emphasizing the Ultra Unlock event (Strength of Steel) running from July 25th to 30th. This event is widely speculated to finally introduce either Mega Lucario or Mega Metagross, fulfilling a long-standing community request.

The speculation surrounding Mega Metagross and Mega Lucario is fueled by several factors. The "Better Together" theme of the preceding Ultra Unlock event is seen by some as hinting at Metagross's evolution line. Others point to Lucario's friendship-based evolution in other Pokemon games as a possible connection.
