Sonic Series Updates Ahead of Movie Release

Get ready for a triple dose of Sonic action! Sega's celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with a flurry of updates across its mobile game lineup. Sonic Forces, Sonic Dream Team, and Sonic Dash are all getting exciting new content inspired by the movie.

First up, Sonic Forces (December 12th) introduces a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This challenging level pack features three tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar characters. Prepare for a cinematic experience – complete the levels before seeing the film!

Next, Sonic Dream Team (December 18th) adds Shadow as a playable character with brand new abilities! Unlock him via Tails’ Challenges and utilize his Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers to manipulate time and overcome obstacles. New powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost are available for all characters, while Shadow gets exclusive upgrades like Double Chaos Shift. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks, plus a revamped tutorial, round out this update.

Lastly, Sonic Dash (December 20th) lets you unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic by collecting cards. Daily challenges offer additional rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will receive Shadow-themed updates in January.
