How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

Authore: RileyUpdate:Mar 24,2025

The new year has been bustling with excitement for *Pokemon GO* players, with plenty of new creatures to add to their collections. After securing Fidough, trainers are gearing up for the arrival of Shroodle in *Pokemon GO*. However, like many recent additions, obtaining Shroodle won't be as simple as encountering it in the wild.

When Did Shroodle Come to Pokemon GO?

The Toxic Mouse Pokemon, Shroodle, made its debut in *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle is a fresh face in the Pokemon universe. Following its debut, trainers will have ongoing opportunities to catch this elusive creature.

Can Shroodle Be Shiny?

At its initial release, Shroodle will not be available in its Shiny form in *Pokemon GO*. Fans eager to see its Shiny variant will need to wait for a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or themed around Team GO Rocket.

In line with recent trends, Shroodle won't be found roaming freely in the wild. Instead, trainers must hatch it from 12KM eggs. This method is the sole way to acquire Shroodle in *Pokemon GO*. Starting at 12 AM local time on January 15, 12KM eggs have a chance to hatch into Shroodle, with increased odds during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.

How To Get 12K Eggs

Given that Shroodle can only be obtained from 12KM eggs, it's crucial for trainers to understand how to secure these rare eggs. In *Pokemon GO*, 12KM eggs are exclusively awarded after defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni. The Taken Over event presents a prime opportunity to stock up on these eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more active and Rocket Radars more accessible. However, you can challenge GO Rocket Grunts at any time to face off against Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff, earning a 12KM egg if you have inventory space.

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuted in *Pokemon GO* on January 15. Unlike Shroodle, Grafaiai does not hatch from eggs or appear in the wild; it can only be obtained by evolving Shroodle. To evolve Shroodle into Grafaiai, you'll need 50 Shroodle Candies, which you can gather by hatching multiple Shroodle or by making Shroodle your buddy Pokemon.

*Pokemon GO is available to play now*.
