Old School RuneScape Drops Varlamore: The Rising Darkness With New Bosses And Quests

Old School RuneScape's latest chapter, Varlamore: The Rising Darkness, is now live! Explore expanded northern regions and conquer thrilling new challenges.

New Adventures Await:

Confront Hueycoatl, a massive serpent lurking in the treacherous Hailstorm Mountains. Team up with unexpected allies—members of the Dwarven Party and a priest—to overcome this formidable beast. Victory yields incredible rewards, including the Tome of Earth, the Dragon Hunter Wand (the first magic-infused dragonbane weapon!), and the Hueycoatl Hide Armour.

Beyond the icy peaks, the island of Aldarin offers new Herblore activities. Cultivate, blend, and master alchemy with a diverse range of herbs.

Take a break from potion-making and monster slaying with the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course. Assist Worm Tongue, an elderly anteater, in ridding the Colossal Wyrm's remains of a termite infestation. Complete the course for Agility XP and rewards such as the Varlamore Graceful Recolour and a skeletal transmog for your Squirrel pet.

Continuing the Story:

For players following the Children of the Sun and Twilight’s Promise storylines, The Heart of Darkness quest continues the narrative.
