Despite a radio silence since 2022, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is far from cancelled! An upcoming network test, opening doors to US players, is on the horizon.
With 1500 spots available and applications open now, Gundam fans in the US have a chance to experience this latest strategy JRPG. The test runs from January 23rd to 28th, 2025, with applications closing December 7th.
This entry in the popular franchise lets players command a vast roster of iconic mecha pilots from the Gundam universe in strategic, grid-based battles. The SD Gundam series, known for its extensive inclusion of mecha and characters, is a fan favorite.
While the Gundam franchise is globally recognized, the SD Gundam line ("super deformed") might be less familiar. These charming, stylized, smaller kits featuring cute, compact versions of iconic mecha were once incredibly popular, even surpassing the original designs in popularity.
US Release on the Horizon
The new SD Gundam game is sure to attract a large following. However, Bandai Namco's Gundam releases have a history of inconsistent quality or premature cancellations. Let's hope SD Gundam G Generation Eternal (quite the mouthful!) bucks this trend and delivers a top-tier experience.
