Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! From January 20th to February 3rd, the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in their powerful Dynamax forms. This exciting event offers fantastic opportunities to add these powerful Pokémon to your collection and earn valuable rewards.

Dynamax Legendary Birds: A Three-Week Event

The Iconic Trio: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres

Prepare for epic battles! Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in five-star Max Raids at Power Spots, giving you the chance to catch their Dynamax forms. Each legendary bird will have its own week-long spotlight:

Dynamax Articuno: January 20th
Dynamax Zapdos: January 27th
Dynamax Moltres: February 3rd

Pokemon Go Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres Dynamax Forms Will Be Available One Week at a Time

Following their debut, each legendary bird will remain available for a full week. To aid in your captures, a special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" will run concurrently, offering encounters with Pokémon (including Shiny possibilities!), Candy, and Max Particles for powering up your catches. Here's the schedule for the Timed Research (in your local time):

Dynamax Articuno: January 17th, 10:00 AM – January 20th, 7:00 PM (featuring Charmander, Beldum, and Scorbunny)
Dynamax Zapdos: January 24th, 10:00 AM – January 27th, 7:00 PM (featuring Drilbur, Cryogonal, and Grookey)
Dynamax Moltres: January 31st, 10:00 AM – February 3rd, 7:00 PM (featuring Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble)

Exciting news for Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! While the in-person event may not be accessible to everyone, players worldwide can upgrade their free Tour Pass to a Tour Pass Deluxe for enhanced rewards and faster progression.

On February 24th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, all players will receive their free Tour Pass. Collect Tour Points and rank up to earn additional rewards until the event concludes on March 2nd, 2025, at 6:00 PM (local time).

Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe grants immediate access to the Mythical Pokémon Victini and the new Lucky Trinket upon reaching the highest tier. The Lucky Trinket allows you to become Lucky Friends with another player, enabling a trade for a Lucky Pokémon (boosted stats and reduced power-up costs). This Lucky Friends status is one-time use per trade.
