Pokemon GO Announces Lunar New Year 2025 Event

Get ready for the Pokémon GO Lunar New Year 2025 celebration! Niantic has announced a vibrant event running from January 29th to February 2nd, packed with opportunities to catch rare and shiny Pokémon.

This exciting event offers boosted encounters with Ekans, Onix, and Snivy, including shiny variants. Players can also expect increased Lucky Pokémon rates in trades and a higher chance of becoming Lucky Friends. Furthermore, Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi will be hatching from 2km Eggs.

Beyond wild encounters, the event features themed Field Research and Timed Research tasks rewarding Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters. A paid Timed Research option ($2) provides even more rewards, including two Lucky Eggs and an incubator. Don't miss out on earning Zygarde Cells through event Routes!

The festivities extend to Pokémon GO's PokeStop Showcases, where showcasing event Pokémon earns additional item bundles. A special Collection Challenge will also be available, offering extra Stardust for trading.
