Authore: EllieUpdate:Mar 05,2025

Following months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions, a new multiplayer Pokémon battle game, has been officially unveiled. Developed collaboratively by Game Freak and The Pokémon Works (a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and ILCA, the studio behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl), this title focuses on core-style Pokémon battles.

The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastallization, hinting at a broad range of Pokémon and battle styles across different generations. Crucially, Pokémon Champions will integrate with Pokémon Home, enabling players to transfer Pokémon from previous games, finally providing a purpose for those digital creatures gathering dust in storage.

PlayCurrently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, a release date remains unannounced. However, the game will support Latin American Spanish at launch, in addition to other languages.

Interestingly, Pokémon Champions appears to be the same game that leaked last year as "Pokémon Synapse" within the extensive "Freak Leak." While initial speculation compared it to Splatoon, the official reveal clarifies its focus on competitive online battles.
