Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

Authore: ThomasUpdate:Mar 16,2025

The Pokémon Go Bug Out event is back, buzzing with Bug-type Pokémon and the exciting debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch! Running from March 26th to 30th, this event is brimming with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and challenges.

Lure Modules are key this time around. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but catching enough Pokémon using a single Lure Module will significantly increase the number of Pokémon appearing at that PokéStop.

Trainers will also enjoy 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased Candy XL chances for those level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are boosted.

Expect a surge of Bug-type Pokémon in the wild, including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, Nymble, and—if you're lucky—Cutiefly.

ytSizzlipede will appear in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor dominate three-star raids. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks for Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

A free Timed Research opportunity offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module. For even more rewards, a paid Timed Research option ($2 or local equivalent) includes Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor encounters, two Premium Battle Passes, and an extra Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges reward Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases highlight event Pokémon. Don't forget to snag the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket from the in-game shop!
