Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Retro Nintendo Console Theme

As Pikmin Bloom prepares for its highly anticipated 3.5th anniversary next month, fans can look forward to a nostalgic journey through the iconic world of Nintendo. Starting May 1st, 2025, Niantic is reintroducing beloved elements from the past, creating a charming throwback to the golden age of gaming.

The celebration kicks off with a special event that brings back classic Nintendo game consoles from the '80s and '90s, alongside a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin inspired by Nintendo’s early days of producing playing cards. These nostalgic additions are beautifully designed, paying homage to the company’s rich history.

This event runs throughout the month, offering players a chance to engage in exciting challenges. Each successful completion of an Event Challenge mission rewards participants with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and vibrant flower petals. Additionally, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear during the event, rewarding players who smash them with Mystery Boxes containing various treasures.

To enhance the festivities, the May flowers have been given a special twist. Planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals near them can transform them into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses. Furthermore, the nectar system has been updated, ensuring that fruits from mushrooms yield valuable resources for both regular and special flowers.
