This significantly speeds up the investigation, especially on larger maps, allowing you to strategically position your equipment before things get too spooky.

You'll typically find the Haunted Mirror hanging on a wall (like in 6 Tanglewood Drive) or on the floor at its predetermined location. Remember, Cursed Objects always spawn in the same spot on a map; the randomness lies in *which* Cursed Object appears.

To use it, simply pick up the mirror and interact with it using the appropriate button (mouse or controller). The reflection will display the ghost's current haunt. However, on Professional difficulty and above, be aware that the ghost's location can change after a time.

Caution is key! Staring into the Haunted Mirror depletes your sanity. Holding it for too long will shatter the mirror, triggering a terrifying Cursed Hunt at your precise location. Use it wisely, preferably when your sanity is high, and be sure you understand what you're seeing.

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Possessions, often called "Cursed Objects," are unique items that randomly appear on any map (though their spawn rate can vary based on difficulty and Challenge Mode). Unlike standard equipment, which helps locate and identify ghosts with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer shortcuts and advantages, but at a considerably higher risk to your character's well-being.

The risk-reward balance varies between Cursed Objects, making the decision to use them a strategic one for you and your team. There's no penalty for leaving them unused. Note that only one Cursed Possession spawns per contract (unless modified in Custom settings).
