The remaster will be free for existing Half-Life 2 owners on Steam, with no confirmed release date yet.
A free demo, set to launch on March 18, will let players explore two iconic locations: the eerie Ravenholm and the foreboding Nova Prospekt prison. A recent trailer highlighted the game’s ray tracing features and DLSS 4 technology, which significantly enhances frame rate performance.
Spanning 75 minutes, the video offers a detailed analysis of gameplay from Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt, with experts comparing the remastered visuals to the original, showcasing the modding team’s transformative work.
