The possibility of Marvel Rivals arriving on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, now seems increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the upcoming console could alter that situation.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The primary challenge remains ensuring consistent, high-quality performance on the new hardware. Wu stated:
"The first-generation Switch lacked the power for the gameplay experience we envisioned. However, if the Switch 2 can handle it, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major publishers are expressing strong interest. Phil Spencer indicated Xbox's intention to bring its games to the platform, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown support.
Marvel Rivals itself is set for continued expansion, with the addition of two Fantastic Four members anticipated in future updates.
