The Nintendo Switch 2 finally has an official release date: June 5, 2025.
Today's announcement also revealed the console's starting price of $449.99.
The Nintendo Switch 2 standard package includes:
- Nintendo Switch 2 console
- Joy-Con 2 controllers (L+R)
- Joy-Con 2 Grip
- Joy-Con 2 Straps
- Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
- Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable
- Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter
- USB-C Charging Cable
Additionally, Nintendo announced a $499.99 Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle in the U.S., which includes the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World - available at launch on June 5.
Sold separately, Mario Kart World carries a $79.99 price tag, marking a $10 increase over Nintendo's previous premium Switch titles.
"Building on eight years of innovation since the original Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 represents the evolution of hybrid gaming," said Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa.
"With groundbreaking new features that redefine gameplay possibilities, we're confident Switch 2 will continue our mission to bring joy to players worldwide."
