[News] Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Ways to Acquire a Steed

Mastering Mounts in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's expansive open world can feel overwhelming initially. Efficient traversal is key, and that means acquiring a horse. Here's how to get one:

Reuniting with Pebbles

You can reclaim your original horse, Pebbles! Travel to Semine in the south and speak with the horse trader. However, securing Pebbles requires either paying Groschen, employing persuasion, or intimidation. During my playthrough, assisting Radovan the blacksmith and acquiring finer attire helped convince the trader to relinquish Pebbles without payment, although it did slightly impact my reputation in Semine. If persuasion fails, prepare to pay.

The Art of Horse Theft

Alternatively, you can acquire a horse through less conventional means – theft. While wild horses are rare, farms and stables offer opportunities. However, be prepared to face the consequences of your actions if caught.

I suggest visiting Vidlak Pond in the west. A nearby farmhouse, inhabited by fishermen, houses two horses. Simply mount one and ride away.

Next, visit the Nomads' Camp east of Vidlak Pond. The horse trainer NPC there can teach you how to saddle and tame your newly acquired steed, though this will require a fee. Alternatively, you can forgo this step and ride your stolen horse as is.

This concludes your guide to obtaining a horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Check out The Escapist for more game tips and strategies.
