Mortal Kombat Mobile brings in iconic Image anti-hero Spawn

Authore: BrooklynUpdate:Jan 09,2025

Mortal Kombat Mobile welcomes back the iconic guest character, Spawn! This version of the McFarlane-created anti-hero is based on his appearance in Mortal Kombat 11. He'll soon be joined by MK1 Kenshi, and the update includes three new Friendship finishers and a Brutality.

Mortal Kombat Mobile, the popular mobile fighting game, gets a major boost with the addition of Spawn to its roster. This is a significant addition, alongside the inclusion of Kenshi in his original MK1 form.

Spawn, also known as Al Simmons, is a murdered soldier who strikes a deal with the Devil, returning to Earth as a powerful anti-hero. His supernatural abilities make him a formidable force, even potentially an apocalyptic one.

Spawn, a creation of Todd McFarlane, debuted in the 1990s (though his origins predate that) as a flagship character for Image Comics. His appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 made him a highly sought-after guest character for Mortal Kombat Mobile.

A Hellspawn-Sized Update

This update not only brings Spawn but also a new version of Kenshi. While some may dismiss the mobile version of Mortal Kombat, fans of Spawn and the MK franchise will undoubtedly celebrate this dark anti-hero's return.

Spawn, modeled after his Mortal Kombat 11 design, is now available in Mortal Kombat Mobile. The update also features three new Friendship finishers, a Brutality, and new Hellspawn dungeons to conquer. Download it now on the iOS App Store and Google Play!

Important Note: Just before publishing, news broke of the alleged dismissal of the entire Netherrealm Studios mobile team. Sadly, Spawn's addition may be the final contribution from this talented group.
