Monster Hunter & Digimon Celebrate 20 Years with Limited Edition V-Pet
To mark Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom and Bandai have teamed up to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition." This special edition of the popular Digimon V-Pet features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre monsters.
Each device, priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD, excluding shipping), boasts a vibrant color LCD screen, UV printing, and a rechargeable battery. Gamers can enjoy familiar features like customizable backgrounds and the "Cold Mode," which temporarily halts monster growth and stat changes. A backup system ensures saved progress is secure.
Japan-Only Release (For Now!)
Pre-orders are currently open on Bandai's Japanese online store. However, international shipping will incur additional costs. Unfortunately, a global release hasn't been announced yet. Demand is high, with the devices selling out quickly after the initial announcement. The first pre-order window closes at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET) today.
