Mika and Witch

The enchanting cozy adventure game, Mika and the Witch's Mountain, is set to launch on January 22, 2025, across multiple platforms: Nintendo Switch, Steam (PC), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Initially released in early access on August 21, 2024, the full game will finally be available, boasting exciting new features and post-launch content.

Inspired by Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service, players embody young witch Mika, a parcel courier in a charming town nestled beside a magical mountain. The early access version quickly garnered a devoted following among cozy adventure game enthusiasts. Now, console players can experience Mika's heartwarming journey.

As announced by developers Chibig and Nukefist via Gematsu, the January 22nd release marks the end of early access. The game features broomstick flight across a mini open world, collectible items, and a captivating story filled with endearing characters. Recent updates included highly-anticipated additions: a fishing mini-game, Churro and Kitten mini-games, pet companions, expanded language support, cosmetic items, and new achievements. All this, plus more, is included in the full release. Furthermore, a post-launch patch, "Into the Mont Gaun," promises dungeon gameplay reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda series. This patch, according to the developers, will complete the game's vision, originally conceived during its 2023 Kickstarter campaign.

Chibig and Nukefist have confirmed "Into the Mont Gaun" as the final content update, bringing the game to its intended completed state. The early access version already enjoys "Very Positive" Steam reviews. Fans of titles like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons will likely find Mika and the Witch's Mountain a delightful addition to their collection. The game offers a relaxing magical experience, a welcome contrast to more action-oriented games such as Hogwarts Legacy.
