What's the Buzz?

Metal Slug: Awakening is a modern reboot of the iconic 90s run-and-gun series. Originally teased in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen some delays and name changes, but after a successful Southeast Asian launch in late 2023, it's finally ready for a global release.

For those unfamiliar, Metal Slug is a legendary Japanese run-and-gun franchise, first launched in 1996 by Nazca Corporation and since expanded into a multimedia empire. While Metal Slug Defense (2014), Metal Slug Attack (2016), and Metal Slug Commander (2020) brought the series to mobile, Awakening promises a significant upgrade.

This new installment stays true to the classic gameplay while boasting updated graphics and fresh mechanics. Reunite with your favorite Metal Slug characters in new missions, conquer the World Adventure mode, team up with friends in 3-player co-op, and test your skills in challenging Roguelike levels.
