Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Event Brings Black and White Kyurem
Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, taking place March 1st and 2nd. These legendary Pokémon will be available in raids, offering a chance to catch their shiny forms. The event also includes special in-game backgrounds inspired by Pokémon Black and White.
The arrival of Black and White Kyurem has been highly anticipated by fans. Their potential impact on the game's meta has generated considerable excitement. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official debut within the GO Tour: Unova event is perfectly timed, given the event's focus on the Unova region.
Niantic's announcement confirms the appearance of Black and White Kyurem in raids during the event (March 1st and 2nd, 10 AM to 6 PM local time). Shiny versions will be catchable.
Fusion Frenzy:
Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, players can fuse Kyurem with other Pokémon:
- Black Kyurem: Fuse with Zekrom using 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Learns Freeze Shock.
- White Kyurem: Fuse with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. Learns Ice Burn.
Fusion is reversible at no cost. The required Fusion Energy is obtained by defeating Kyurem in raids.
Exclusive Event Backgrounds:
Complete the fusion process with either Black or White Kyurem to unlock special backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both fusions grants access to a unique third background.
With the GO Tour: Unova event rapidly approaching, trainers have just weeks to prepare for this exciting addition to the Pokémon GO experience.
